Ogume custom and belief
Ogume is community in Ukwuani, and they speak the Ukwuani language as their dialect. They are hard working people with good ancestral trace they all believes in their custom and traditions of their land.
Ogume has a unique culture heritage in Nigeria as a whole, Ogume has a rich cultural heritage which make ogume community unquie, their tradition and culture is been preserve, their culture is their pride. The pride of Ogume people is their unique cultural heritage with keep bonds to together as one family.
Ogume community has a rich cultural background, and Ogume children’s believe on their spiritual awakening, ancestors power of their ancestors. Their forefathers worship is what most of them believe today even some adopt christian but still believe on the Way their forefathers practice, other condem the act of forefathers practice.

Ogume Masquerade display the performance of cultural identity, that this what they inherit from their forefathers, during these period all the Ogume children’s are united. This help to showcase their rich culture, traditions, and beliefs in Ogume land, they believe in spirit of ancestors, that ancestors power do exist for a better life. .They dress in their own native attire, in colourful native attire of the community full attire, tire one wrapper on their waist, one bon their chest to cover their breast for women and beads on their neck, while man full shirt and tire wrapper of their waist beads on neck cap on their head independent of your age group (not everyone dress thesame dressings)
Ogume Food
Their main food is pepper soup and pounded yam, Sometimes with Santana AkA Apo Called Apo in their native language. During this celebration food and drinks are share among family members and visitors in Ogume land.
The people of Ogume belong to Ukwuani ethics group and they speak Ukwuani language.
The Occupation Of Ogume
. Farming: They are into yam, cassava, plantation and peppers farming
.Fishing: They fish also because of river around them they are around with water
. Trading: Some of them are trade they do buy and sell to make profit for economy purpose.
